Lynx Smart BMS 500 (M8) — this is a highly intelligent management system for Victron LiFePO4 lithium batteries, designed for the most complex projects with a workload of up to 500 A. This device combines monitoring, automation, protection, and distribution busbar functions in one elegant casing.
This is not just a standard BMS board. It is a powerful safety center that easily integrates into the Victron Energy brand ecosystem, exchanges data with GX panels, and transmits statistics to the VRM portal.
Main Advantages of Lynx Smart BMS 500
- Serves arrays of up to 20 Victron LiFePO4 batteries (reserve up to 84 kWh at 12 V and up to 102 kWh at 48 V)
- Built-in emergency contactor for 500 A (600 A peak) - cuts off power in case of critical errors
- Pre-charge function - protects inverters from destructive impulses at startup
- Bluetooth module - control right from a smartphone via VictronConnect
- Perfect compatibility with GX devices (Cerbo, Ekrano) and VRM online monitoring
- Real-time battery status display (charge level, voltage, logs)
- Charge/discharge control ports (ATC/ATD) for generators and inverters
- Programmable relay - automatic startup of a generator or alarm
- Combining up to 5 BMS into one system — for redundancy or increasing capacity
- Reading the status of fuses from connected Lynx Distributor modules (up to 4 pcs.)
Technical Features
Pre-charge System
• Saves the network from a sharp current jump when connecting capacitive devices (inverters). Everything is built into the BMS, no external relays are needed.
Main Safety Contactor
• A powerful 500 A direct current relay capable of instantly de-energizing the network during overheating or over-discharge.
Smart ATC/ATD Outputs and Relays
• Intelligent control of alternators, generators, and chargers with a delay function to prevent false triggers.
Bluetooth Connection and VictronConnect App
• Instant viewing of current currents, voltages, and state of charge (SOC)
• Support for the "Instant Readout" quick reading function
• Saving cycle history even without connection to the VRM portal
VE.Can and NMEA 2000 Networks
• Convenient data output to MFD displays of yachts and boats
• Support for the marine standard NMEA2000 (and J1939)
