VE.Bus BMS NG — acts as an advanced next-generation management system developed by Victron Energy specifically for the Lithium NG (LiFePO₄) battery line. This controller guarantees fully automated protection, detailed monitoring, and control of charging/discharging processes within systems equipped with Victron inverters and hybrid devices featuring the VE.Bus communication protocol. The device architecture allows for the formation of large-scale energy storages, supporting the operation of up to 50 batteries in 12/24 V assemblies and up to 25 batteries in 48 V systems.
Key features and advantages:
- Comprehensive battery protection against critical overvoltage, deep discharge, as well as overheating or excessive cooling
- Full operation via VE.Bus – 100% support for MultiPlus, Quattro, EasySolar series, and other devices
- Bluetooth Smart interface – the ability to wirelessly configure, install software updates, and monitor cell status directly in the VictronConnect app
- Direct analysis of the state of charge (SoC), as well as current and operating voltage without the need for an external SmartShunt
- Building scalable energy systems – capacity expansion up to 192 kWh at 12 V, up to 384 kWh at 24 V, and up to 128 kWh when using 48 V
Available outputs and communication ports:
- Load Disconnect – signal port for disconnecting the load when the cell voltage drops to a dangerous level (withstands up to 1 A)
- Charge Disconnect – blocking the charging process in case of voltage surges or temperature violations
- Pre-alarm – early warning function activated 30 seconds before an emergency system shutdown
- Remote On/Off – contacts for remote control of turning the power on or off
- Two RJ45 VE.Bus ports – used for synchronization with charging and inverter stations
- Special GX-Power port – provides power supply to GX series control panels (e.g., Cerbo GX)
Technical parameters of the device:
- Permissible input voltage: from 9 to 70 V DC
- Power consumption current: about 10 mA in standby mode, 2 mA during voltage drop
- Operating temperature: from –20 °C to +50 °C
- Enclosure: made of ABS plastic, finished in matte black with the signature blue logo
- Degree of moisture protection: IP20
- Overall dimensions: 23.2 × 95.0 × 105.8 mm.
- Device weight: 120 g
Compatibility options:
- Hybrid inverters and powerful Victron chargers equipped with a VE.Bus port
- Global monitoring systems: Cerbo GX, GX Touch screens, Digital Multi Control panels
- Victron Lithium NG series batteries (voltage 12.8 V, 25.6 V, 51.2 V)
- Various relays, BatteryProtect modules, Cyrix combiners, and other Victron system controllers
Popular fields of operation:
- Large autonomous energy complexes with massive battery assemblies
- Hybrid solar systems built on the basis of MultiPlus and Quattro inverters
- Various industrial, commercial, private, and mobile power plants
