Multifunctional battery management system Victron Energy Smart BMS 12/200 (200 A, 12 V) – is a versatile and high-performance solution for monitoring the operation of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries from Victron Energy with an operating voltage of 12.8 V. This BMS controller is designed specifically to interact with 12-volt generators on cars, yachts, in motorhomes, as well as part of stationary energy complexes. The device harmoniously combines a charging current limiter, a battery combiner, a complex of protection algorithms, and a wireless Bluetooth monitoring module in a single housing.
Main advantages of the Smart BMS controller
- High performance – the ability to work with continuous charge and discharge currents up to 200 A, withstanding short-term peaks up to 400 A.

Technical features and functionality
- Alternator/Starter Batt+ port– a built-in current limiting circuit at ~90% of the rating of the applied fuse, ensuring safe recharging of LiFePO₄ batteries from the onboard generator.
- Universal System+ port – a bidirectional interface providing both charging and discharging of the battery (with currents up to 200 A), to which all consumers (inverters, relays, charge controllers) are connected.
- Set of intelligent ports:
- Load disconnect– forcefully disconnects consumers in case of a critical decrease in the charge level.
- Charge disconnect – blocks the operation of charging stations in case of a risk of overcharging or exceeding the permissible temperature of the cells.
- Pre-alarm – activates the alarm system even before the automatic shutdown is triggered.
- Remote control function (Remote on/off) – allows implementing various scenarios for remote start and stop of the system operation.
- Scaling up to 20 batteries in one parallel – the possibility of creating energy-intensive storages with a total energy capacity of up to 84 kWh!
