The BMV-700 Battery Charge Monitor is a high-precision measuring instrument from Victron Energy. The device allows you to monitor key indicators of your battery in real time, storing the history in non-volatile memory.
This controller is ideally compatible with lead-acid (AGM, GEL) and lithium (LiFePO4) batteries. With its help, you can easily monitor the voltage level, current consumption, current capacity and the exact time until complete discharge.

Automatic control of the generator using a relay
The BMV monitor series is equipped with a special relay output. It can be configured to automatically start and stop the fuel generator depending on the current state of charge of the battery.
Operating principle
- You set the required response thresholds (for example, start at <50% and stop at >95%).
- When the lower limit is reached, the relay activates the generator start.
- As soon as the battery is charged to the required level, the signal stops and the generator stops.
- A time delay setting is available to eliminate false alarms due to short-term surges.
