The BatteryProtect 12/24V 220A protection module acts as an automated electronic switch that instantly disconnects the battery bank from all energy consumers as soon as the voltage drops to critical values. This guarantees reliable protection of gel, AGM, and lithium (LiFePO₄) batteries against destructive deep discharge, which can drastically reduce their service life or completely destroy them.
The use of advanced MOSFET technology allows the device to operate absolutely silently, eliminates the occurrence of sparks on the contacts, and guarantees minimum self-consumption. The device automatically detects the nominal voltage of the on-board network (12V or 24V) and allows the user to set exact limits for disconnecting/restoring power using the built-in digital LED screen.
The excessive discharge protection system is a mandatory piece of equipment for campers, motorhomes, special vehicles, as well as marine yachts and boats, where the probability of complete battery depletion due to a constantly connected low-current load is high.
Main advantages of the BatteryProtect controller
- Intelligent recognition of 12/24 V voltage
- Comprehensive battery protection against destructive deep discharge
- Full compatibility with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries - when synchronized with VE.Bus BMS
- Modest energy consumption: only about 1.5 mA in operating mode
- Electronic MOSFET switch - devoid of wearing relays, works quietly and without sparking
- Ability to connect warning systems - availability of a terminal for a buzzer, control LED, or external relay
- Overvoltage barrier - automatic cut-off upon reaching a threshold >16 V (for 12V systems), and >32 V (for 24V systems)
- Adjustable trigger and return levels using a clear 7-segment LED screen
- Warning circuit breaker delay function - a 90-second pause before actual disconnection
- Ability to use as a charge cut-off - for lithium batteries in interaction with VE.Bus BMS
