1000A/50mV Shunt is a reliable measuring shunt designed for DC systems with currents up to 1000 A. It converts the passing current into a proportional voltage drop (up to 50 mV), which is then read by battery monitors. The device is ideally compatible with all models of Victron Energy monitors, including the BMV-700, 702, 712 Smart and SmartShunt series.
This is a key component for systems that require accurate metering of incoming and outgoing energy in highly loaded networks: stand-alone stations, industrial UPS equipment, motor vehicles and boats.
The main advantages of the Victron shunt
- Impeccable measurement accuracy – 50 mV at 1000 A
- Full support for all Victron Energy devices
- Compact – convenient for installation in distribution panels
- High reliability – designed to work in harsh conditions with high currents
- Easy to connect
- Mounting pad – for installation on a flat surface or DIN rail

Connection features
The shunt is a basic measuring element that transmits data (voltage 50 mV) to:
- BMV series screens
- SmartShunt Monitors
- Compatible third party devices that support the 50 mV standard
Integration is carried out with a simple two-wire cable running from the measuring contacts to the monitor.
