Victron BlueSolar PWM-LCD&USB; 48V-10A — is a reliable and practical PWM-type charge controller from Victron Energy engineers. This model is designed specifically for systems with an operating voltage of 48 V. The device is equipped with a visual LCD screen and two USB ports. The device perfectly copes with charging various types of batteries (AGM, GEL, liquid acid lead, as well as LiFePO4 with a built-in BMS) and is an excellent solution for tourist, country, and autonomous lighting projects where a 48-volt architecture is used.
Main Advantages of the Controller
- Support for 48-volt systems: stable operation with a fixed voltage of 48 V
- Informative LCD display: makes it easy to monitor current operating parameters and charge status
- Two built-in USB outputs: (5 V each, total current output up to 2 A) for convenient charging of mobile gadgets and electronics
- Battery protection against deep discharge: timely automatic disconnection of consumers
- Flexible operating modes: manual control of the load output, adjustable timer, «day/night» function
Technical Specifications of the Device
- Maximum charge current: 10 A
- Maximum power of connected panels: up to 480 W at an operating voltage of 48 V
- Self-consumption: very low, less than 10 mA
- Charge technology: reliable and time-tested PWM (PWM) modulation
- Grounding configuration: common positive
- Operating temperature range: from -35°C to +60°C
- Permissible air humidity: up to 95% (excluding condensation)
Autonomous Lighting Control
The controller has a built-in timer function and time of day recognition («day/night» mode). This makes it possible to automatically supply power to the load (for example, to lamps) immediately after darkness falls for a user-defined time.
- Manual control: the ability to quickly turn on or off power to consumers using a button
- Simple timer setup: is carried out directly through the display menu, without connecting additional programmers
Areas of Practical Application
- Autonomous lighting of streets, park areas, and adjoining territories (in 48 V networks)
- Power supply of tent camps, trailers, and country houses with the ability to charge gadgets via USB
- Backup power for telecommunication nodes and security systems
Monitoring and Connection Interfaces
- LCD screen: displays the battery charge level, current and voltage values, as well as error codes
- A pair of USB outputs: 2 × 5 V (total 2 A) — ideal for direct charging of smartphones, power banks, and tablets
- Note: the model does not support Bluetooth and VE.Direct protocols, as it is designed for simple, basic tasks
