Current measuring transformer 100A:50mA (extended cable 5 meters) – this is an intelligent consumption sensor developed for the new generation Victron Energy inverters (MultiPlus-II and Quattro-II). The sensor snaps onto the main input cable of the house and continuously transmits to the inverter data on what current is drawn from the city grid. This gives the inverter the ability to dynamically compensate for the lack of grid power in real time at the expense of battery energy (PowerAssist technology).

Without this transformer, the full-fledged operation of hybrid stations in the ESS (Energy Storage System) mode is impossible. The sensor allows the inverter to redirect energy from the sun to the current needs of the house so that consumption from the paid grid is reduced to zero, and the input circuit breakers are never disconnected from overloads.

Does the sensor require external power to operate?
– No, it is a completely passive component that does not require batteries or connection to a power supply.

Is it permissible to use extensions for the standard cable?
– Yes, the cable can be extended. But for correct signal transmission, the total length of the route must not exceed 20 meters, and only a high-quality shielded wire should be used for the extension.
