Current measuring transformer 100A:50mA (1 meter cable) – this is a compact high-precision sensor, designed specifically to work with the new generation Victron Energy MultiPlus-II and Quattro-II series inverters. The device is put on the input phase wire and measures the real energy consumption from the external network, instantly transmitting this data to the inverter. This opens up access to the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions, allowing the hybrid system to dynamically mix in energy from the batteries so as not to "knock out" the input circuit breaker.

The presence of such a current transformer is a prerequisite for building effective ESS (Energy Storage System) systems. Knowing how much energy the house takes from the network, the system can direct the excess solar generation directly to the consumption of the house, reducing your electricity bills to zero.

– No, the device is not strictly mandatory. However, without it, the intelligent PowerAssist algorithms will not function, and highly accurate limitation of power from the external grid will be unavailable.

How is it connected to MultiPlus-II inverters?
– Integration takes place through a special Current Sense connector, which is equipped on compatible inverter models of the MultiPlus-II and Quattro-II lines.

Does the sensor require external power to operate?
– No, it is a completely passive component that does not require batteries or connection to a power supply.

Is it permissible to use extensions for the standard cable?
– Yes, the cable can be extended. But for correct signal transmission, the total length of the route must not exceed 20 meters, and only a high-quality shielded wire should be used for the extension.
